He was a lawman, gunfighter, gambler, and buffalo hunter. He went to Kansas City where he met Wild Bill Hickok and learned to handle guns from this master. He also hunted buffalo with Bat Masterson. Wyatt was a law officer of Wichita and Dodge City, Kansas, as well as District Marshall in Tombstone, Arizona.
